April 2024 Book Reviews
I read six books in April alone and am so excited to review all six books today. My book review needs to be on time, but I will review the books I read that month every month. The first book I read in April, The IT Girl by Ruth Ware, is hit or miss for me. I either love her books or don’t like them. But this book was a hit. It had suspense, drama, old money, and working-class elements. It is set in a fictional college within Oxford University. It is about two friends, both from different socio-economic backgrounds. Hannah comes from a working-class family, and her new roommate…

Book Review- Maybe in Another Life- Taylor Jenkins Reid
Today I am reviewing, ” Maybe in Another Life”- Taylor Jenkins Reid This book was brilliant but heartbreaking. It made me reflect about my own relationship with Ryan. This book is about the choices we make in our lives all lead to our ever after and in both scenarios YOU can be happy. The story (each chapter) toggles back and forth between two different scenarios that Hannah (Main protagonist) goes through in life. It is about what would happen if you go this route or if choose a different route. Hannah has been moving between city to city after graduating from college. She does not know what she wants to…

Book Review- The Warsaw Orphan
Happy Wednesday!! Today I have a book review. This year I am trying to read more. I love reading but so often do not have the time or energy after working all day. This book was amazing but it is very sad. If you’re not particularly fond of morose literature I would advise finding a different book. In the spring of 1942, young Elzbieta Rabinek is aware of the swiftly growing discord…

Remarkably Bright Creatures: Shelby Van Pelt
Happy Book Review Day: I was able to snag Remarkably Bright Creatures on Libby an app that lets you borrow books through your local library system. I love reading so Libby is a great app because I could never afford to buy books as often as I would like. Since it is a very popular book I was able to borrow it from Libby for only 7 days so between moving, applying to every job under the sun and going on interviews, I was reading this book and trying to finish it. I def in the future want to own this book. This is probably my top five for the…
